Where?
5 kilometers from Bud
«Take the detour to Petter’s!» It is one of the best local tips you can get in Bud. And you should listen to the locals. Because Petter has something completely distinctive. The story goes that 18-year-old Petter left to work as a fisherman in Alaska, and three years later he was the fleet’s youngest factory manager. Since then, he has worked all over the world, including Antarctica, Russia, and the USA.
In 2009, he bought the place that is today Drågen Smokehouse. “I was frustrated with all the bad products that described themselves as high quality smoked salmon. Most are mass-produced and machine-smoked on steel shelves. Much is made in haste without respect for the time it takes to give the fish the right taste and consistency.
We take pride in our craftsmanship and use only local, pure, and natural ingredients. The reward is top quality.”
