Kristiansund

The Atlantic Ocean as a neighbour

With the Atlantic Ocean as its nearest neighbour, the city of Kristiansund clings to what the North Moors call «the four countries». Kristiansund has long traditions in the art of food and especially the salted and dried cod we call klippfish. And with good access to this raw material, most restaurants serve clipfish or bacalao. Enjoy one of Kristiansund’s specialities, «fishan» (fish & chips), at the local fast food restaurant or in one of the restaurants.
